Pre-approved plans · City of Bend
Five plans the City has already said yes to.
These are the free, City-licensed designs any homeowner can permit inside Bend city limits. Each one comes with a full engineered plan set, has a master permit on file, and can be built by Williams West without a designer in the loop.

Cascade Cottage →
A clean, modern cottage designed to be lived in for decades: no-step entry, wider doors, and a covered patio that works as a second living room most of the year.

Modern Mill House →
The compact one. A shed-roof studio-style home with a narrow footprint built for alley-loaded and tight infill lots, and small enough to qualify as a second ADU.

Deschutes Bungalow →
The one most people picture when they say ADU: a two-bedroom Craftsman bungalow with nine-foot ceilings and a covered patio, right at the City's 800-square-foot limit.

Mt. Bachelor Pad →
Living space upstairs, a two-car garage and mudroom below. If your lot is short on room but you still want a garage and a real home above it, this is the one.

The Joel →
The original pre-approved plan. A simple, honest cottage with a front porch, eat-in kitchen, and eight-foot ceilings, built with conventional methods that keep the price down.
